ATTENTION! IT IS IMPORTANT!
ATTENTION! IT IS IMPORTANT!
From the beginning of spring until the deep autumn, the citizens of Zaporizhzhia are actively visiting Khortytsia Island for recreation and rest.
Along with the seasonal rise in air temperature, the risk of fires caused by carelessness, whether resulting from human negligence or deliberate disregard of the officially established rules of conduct for reserve visitors, also increases.
The Khortytsia National Reserve reminds everyone of the strict prohibitions on the territory of Khortytsia Island!
- Obey restrictions on fires.
– No campfires are allowed on the reserve territory.
– Burning dry grass, reeds, leaves, branches, etc., is forbidden.
We especially appeal to citizens who are smokers. Unextinguished cigarettes are the most common cause of natural and dumpster fires. Please dispose of cigarette butts only in the designated dumpsters and bins, but before doing so, make sure that the cigarette is extinguished and will not cause a fire.
On the island’s territory, there are firefighting information boards. The island is divided into squares, as agreed upon with the State Emergency Service. In case of ignition of grass, forest, or fire on any object in the reserve, urgently call 101 and name the square for a more prompt response.
Be attentive and careful! Love Khortytsia Island! Only through joint efforts will we save nature from fires and losses!
