HEROES LIVE FOREVER

On November 02, 2024, on the Cossack island of Khortytsia, an event was held to honor the memory of our compatriot Vladyslav Kolomiychuk, a soldier of the 26th Artillery Brigade named after General flag-bearer (khorundzhyi) Roman Dashkevych, who died on January 29, 2023, defending Ukraine.

50 trees and shrubs – boxwood, thuja, linden – were planted by his family, friends and colleagues from the “Zaporizhzhia. Platform for Joint Actions” NGO near the Museum of the Zaporozhzhia Cossacks History and at the Cossack Circle. In memory of Vladyslav and all the defenders who died in the armed struggle against the Russian aggressor. 

Vladyslav will be 29 years old forever. He was a talented designer, created murals, customized motorcycles, musical instruments and cars. He volunteered for the army. A warrior with the soul of an artist. 

Vladyslav loved the island of Khortytsia and the island will now carry the memory of him. 

Khortytsia Island is a symbol of will, strength and resilience, a symbol of the glorious Cossack history and a worthy place to honor the memory of our defenders. 

Let these trees grow and remind all living people of those who gave their lives to protect them and Ukraine.
