Khortytsia National Reserve held an event to hand over the restored sarcophagus fragment
On September 22, 2024, an event occurred at the historical and cultural complex “Zaporozhzhia Sich.” The Khortytsia National Reserve transferred a fragment of a sarcophagus, which belonged to the founder of the Crimean Khanate and the first Crimean Khan, Hacı I Giray, to the State Enterprise “Crimean House.”
The artifact, which is of great importance to the history of the Crimean Tatar people, was accepted by Akhtem Seitablayev, director of the State Enterprise “Crimean House.”
The event was attended by representatives of the State Enterprise “Crimean House,” participants of the Zaporizhzhia International Film Festival “ZIFF,” Crimean soldiers who defend the Ukrainian state with weapons in their hands, fighting for the liberation of their Motherland, the Crimean Peninsula, from the Russian aggressor.
Today’s event is a significant stride towards establishing cooperation between the Khortytsia National Reserve and Crimean House. Together, we will combine our efforts in the fields of scientific and cultural enlightenment, presenting the truth about our peoples and their historical relations.
As the event drew close, all participants were treated to coffee – a traditional Crimean and Cossack drink prepared according to Eastern tradition in a cezve on the sand.
