NEW POSTAGE STAMP “RUSSIAN MILITARY FLEET – TO THE BOTTOM!”, CHARGED WITH COSSACK FORCE, OFFICIALLY PUT INTO CIRCULATION
Today, May 8, in the Khortytsia National Reserve, with the support of the Navy of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, a special cancellation and the official introduction into circulation by @Ukrposhta of the new postage stamp “Russian military fleet – to the bottom!” was held.
The representatives of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration and the reserve administration attended the event.
This stamp is the third in the series of wartime postage stamps titled “Russian warship…!”, which symbolizes the cleansing of the Black Sea from Russian ships.
The stamp depicts the ships, representing the enemy’s heaviest loss in two years of full-scale invasion. And here is the so far undamaged enemy patrol cruiser, “Admiral Makarov”, depicted at gunpoint.
It is symbolic that the special cancellation event took place on Khortytsia Island – a place of Cossack glory and strength. The Cossacks were skillful and victorious warriors both on land and on water, and their sea campaigns were shrouded in glory and legends. Today’s defenders of Ukraine proved by their struggle that they are worthy heirs of the strength and courage of the Zaporozhzhia knights and continue their work – defending their people and land.
