Families of fallen servicemen received posthumous awards during a ceremony at the “Zaporozhian Sich” complex
On December 23, 2025, a ceremonial presentation of posthumous awards to the families of fallen servicemen from Military Unit 3033 of the National Guard of Ukraine took place in the Sich Church of the historical and cultural complex “Zaporozhian Sich”. Those honored were Senior Sergeant Oleh Burdynovych, Sergeant Oleksandr Zdorenko, Chief Sergeant Volodymyr Vayl, and soldiers Vitaliy Demydenko and Denys Terek.
Those present at the event honored the heroism and self-sacrifice of the Ukrainian defenders with a minute of silence. Military chaplains held a memorial service for the fallen soldiers.
Thanks to those who defend Ukraine and to those who gave their lives in this struggle, Ukrainians have the opportunity to live, work, speak their native language, raise children, and look to the future with confidence.
May the fallen defenders rest in peace!
Heroes never die!
