Researchers from the “Senses of Cities” project visited Khortytsia Island.
The project’s authors, Oleksandr Filonenko (Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and Academician of the Ambrosian Academy in Milan, Italy), and Andriy Melnyk (founder of the community of thinking people Cowo.guru (Kyiv), initiator of projects for the transformation of civil society in various regions of Ukraine, came to Zaporizhzhia to meet with the intellectual community and public figures to share their experiences in revealing the cultural code of cities, searching for unifying symbols and ideas, figures based on which new positive meanings of the community existence of the community can be formed.
In search of meaning, the guests also visited the Cossack island of Khortytsia and the site of the “Khortytsia-2025” archaeological expedition, where they spoke with expedition leader Dmitro Kobalia.
