The Clean-Up for arranging a memorial alley in honor of the fallen defenders of Ukraine

On April 24, 2025, the Khortytsia National Reserve team organized a cleanup to create a memorial alley in honor of the fallen defenders of Ukraine.

This natural memorial was solemnly established recently, on April 5, 2025, on the island of Khortytsia, at the initiative of the families of the fallen defenders of Ukraine and the veteran community of the russian-Ukrainian War – NGO “RAZOM.UA”, with the support and participation of regional and municipal authorities, as well as the reserve. Eighty named oak trees were planted in honor of Ukrainian heroes.

Today, the reserve’s employees have done a great deal of work, including cleaning the area of old leaves, processing planting holes, and leveling the soil, among other tasks.
Maintenance of this facility is one of the essential tasks of the project team!
