The island Khortytsia is a place of strength. The place, where you are always strong. Regardless of the season.
In winter and early spring, tourists on the island are noticeably less, because the stereotype works, saying, “it is not the season”; “the island is not so attractive”.

The island Khortytsia is a place of strength. The place, where you are always strong. Regardless of the season.
In winter and early spring, tourists on the island are noticeably less, because the stereotype works, saying, “it is not the season”, “the island is not so attractive”; but we, the staff of the National Reserve, know that this is not the case – the island Khortytsia is beautiful at any time of year. We had an idea to show the unique winter beauty of the island and do it with you.

That is why in early December we announced a photo festival “When the island of Khortytsia sleeps”. Until March 31, we are collecting
original photos of the island’s iconic tourist locations. Every week we will publish your view of the winter island Khortytsia on the official Facebook site of the Reserve. In April 2022, the festival will conduct a large photo exhibition of your photos in the open air, so local
residents and guests of the city can see the beauty of tourist sites on the island Khortytsia in winter. The most active participants of our festival will receive special gifts from the National Reserve – from things with the new branding of the island Khortytsia to invitations to
exclusive tours.

Now, when the island Khortytsia is covered with a blanket of snow, it’s time to gather here for another cool photo!
