the Khortytsia National Reserve received much-needed assistance
In April, the Khortytsia National Reserve received much-needed assistance from the
Gerda Henkel Stiftung!
The reserve’s specialists have improved their work significantly thanks to the new equipment and special clothing.
In 2023-2024, the destruction of the Kakhovka HPP dam increased the number of museum objects and cultural heritage monuments requiring urgent restoration works. The challenges for preserving cultural heritage continue to grow, but partner support for the reserve’s conservation activities is also rising! To achieve this support, partners were involved, without whom it would not have been possible to receive assistance from the Gerda Henkel Stiftung.
The Fundacja OBMIN coordinated the search for partners ready to help implement the reserve’s tasks. It provided organizational support for acquiring the most necessary equipment and materials for conservation and restoration works.
The non-profit organization “Zaporizhzhia. The Joint Action Platform” coordinated and ensured the processes of transportation and transfer of equipment from foreign partners from Warsaw to Khortytsia Island.
We sincerely thank and highly value the partnership relations based on mutual understanding, trust, and respect developed during joint work!
