TO THE LECTURE “COSSACK CROSS” IN THE PAST AND TODAY”
One of humanity’s oldest symbols, the cross, was widely used by the Cossacks. A Cossack cross adorned flags and coats of arms and eventually became a symbol of the heroes who fought and are still fighting for Ukraine’s freedom and independence. Today, we can find it in the symbols of many units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
So what is the history of this symbol, and what meanings does it combine? You can learn it at the upcoming lecture on August 3, 2024 (Saturday) at 11:00 a.m. in the Museum Studios “The City Beyond the Rapids” at the address, Zaporizhzhia, Tsentralnyi Boulevard, 3 (2nd floor of the “House of Shoes”).
