THE LECTURE “KHORTYTSIA ISLAND IN FICTION”
THE LECTURE “KHORTYTSIA ISLAND IN FICTION”
We invite residents of Zaporizhzhia and city guests to the lecture “KHORTYTSIA ISLAND IN FICTION”.
Khortytsia Island breathes history, and everyone who visits it feels it. The island has become one of the symbols of our national history. The Zaporozhzhia Cossacks period, the time of knights and heroes, and the campaigns of Kyiv princes, whose way passed through our island, are extraordinary inspirations to the artists.
The lecture by Svitlana Moiseyenko, a researcher of the Khortytsia National Reserve, is devoted to the image of the Khortytsia Island in the works of the masters of the artistic world – from the 17th century to our contemporaries. Mykola Gogol, Taras Shevchenko, Yar Slavutych, Dmytro Pavlychko, Marina Bratsilo and others.
What image of the island did they create in their works? What did they want to say by remembering it?
Svitlana Moiseyenko has prepared a story that is interesting in content and form!
We will be waiting for you on July 27, 2024 (Saturday) at 11:00 a.m. in the Museum Studios “The City Beyond the Rapids” (in the very center of the city) at the address: Zaporizhzhia, Tsentralniy Boulevard, 3 (“The House of Shoes”, 2nd floor).
Free entrance
