The organization and support of national and patriotic education of children and youth is one of the main priorities of the Khortytsia National Reserve.
On September 30, 2024, the reserve was visited by children and teachers of the Preschool Educational Institution (nursery kindergarten) of the combined type No. 226 “Dyvohrai” of the Zaporizhzhia City Council (Director Nataliya Sharapova).
Specialists of the reserve made every effort to make this day memorable for the preschoolers, full of positive emotions and new knowledge about our glorious Cossack history.
Today marks an exciting new chapter in the partnership between the preschool “Dyvohrai” and the Khortytsia National Reserve in national and patriotic education. In particular, every month until the end of 2024, we have a series of engaging activities planned for the pupils of “Dyvohrai”, where they will learn about the history of the Zaporozhzhia Cossacks, the island of Khortytsia and their native region, get acquainted with the museum business and show their creative abilities. For children, we have planned exciting lectures, excursions, master classes, and interactive games in the museum, in which children will not be onlookers but will participate directly.
We are sure that the joint work of the reserve’s specialists and the educational specialists of “Dyvohrai” will allow us to gain new positive experiences in the organization of effective work on patriotic education of children.
