WE INVITE YOU TO VISIT THE NEW EXHIBITION – “NATURE OF KHORTYTSYA ISLAND: FROM THE PAST TO THE PRESENT”
This exhibition presents paleontological discoveries from Khortytsia Island and the surrounding Dnipro River area. These findings offer insight into the region’s fauna during the last glaciation, known as the mammoth fauna.
You will see remains of mammoths, aurochs, bison, and deer that are over 13,000 years old.
In addition to paleontological finds, the exhibition introduces the modern fauna and flora of Khortytsia Island, including animal skulls and a collection of insects and plants.
The exhibition is located in the historical and cultural complex “Zaporozhzhia Sich”.
Admission is free with an entrance ticket to the historical and cultural complex Zaporozhzhia Sich.
The complex is open from Wednesday to Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
