WE CARE ABOUT THE NATURE OF KHORTYSYA ISLAND

On Saturday, March 29, 2025, on Khortytsia Island, UAnimals, a movement for humane treatment of animals, held an event to hang artificial nesting boxes (birdhouses) for insectivorous birds.
Under the guidance of specialists from the nature protection department of the Khortytsia National Reserve, UAnimals participants fixed 60 new birdhouses to trees, which the organization purchased at its own expense.

The artificial creation of nesting places for insect-eating birds on the island prevents the local mass reproduction of insect pests. It has a positive effect on the overall balance of the ecological system.
Another good deed has been done through joint efforts!
